CHASERS vs WEST 4 MOB MATCH
On a super wet, cold and windy Saturday morning, Richmond Park Time Trial kindly played host to a mob match between local 'friendly' rivals Clapham Chasers and West 4 Harriers.
With the conditions so nasty we were really chuffed to see 29 Chasers ignore the snooze button on the alarms and get to the start line on time. Thank you all.
This race was more about having a good turnout than pure speed, hence the name 'Mob Match'. The first 15 finishers for each team score points for the club but every single runner had a chance to push the opposing club's runners back a position no matter where they finished and just about every Chaser that finished pushed at least one of the West 4 top 15 back a position so well done, a great Team triumph.

JUSTINA WINS THE LONDON CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPS
Front running from start to finish gave Justina her first win in the London Champs. A great piece of running ahead of some fierce competition from the likes of Belgrave Harrier's Catherine Bryson.
Well done Justina.

SURREY LEAGUE CROSS COUNTRY FIXTURE 2
The second outing in the XC league was to wet and windy Lightwater.
Both teams were happy with a solid second place in the first fixture but still had their eye on their first win.
First up as usual were the ladies who had an even stronger team this time round with Justina back from inter-county duties. Individual results are below but suffice to say that they absolutaley stormed the league with a huge points win. Justina took the win with Moana less than a minute behind. Emily tried the 'barefoot' run again but dodgy paths meant a shoe pit stop and a slightly slower finish than usual, but still a great time. Elsewhere well done to the newcomers to Chasers XC team who all ran incredibly well. 10 ladies ensured we had 2 full teams again and the second team placing a fantastic 6th out of 20 plus teams!
The men's course was slightly different to the ladies with a nice diversion through the undulating Forrest but that didn't deter a 13 man strong team from taking inspiration from the ladies and also gaining a league win with 6 runners in the top 10 and some great runs by everyone.
Both teams also took top table positions with better aggregate scores than the other contenders to put the icing on the cake. Wicked weekends racing!

SURREY LEAGUE CROSS COUNTRY FIXTURE 1
Chasers first ever Cross country league fixture got off to a really good start on a sunny day in Banstead.
Not your typical conditions for a cross country race but still very welcome!
Ladies were off first and Emily Gear and Moana Burt brought the front of the Chasers pack home in fine style. Well done to the whole team who managed two high places for both the A and B team.
Men were next up and placed exactly the same as the ladies, a great second place which puts both teams in promotion spots straight away. Well done to Abe who was the first Vet home too.

CHASERS ALGARVE TRAINING WEEK
16 Chasers took to the Algarve for a bit of training and sunshine.
We were unbelievably lucky with the amazing villa with 2 swimming pools, gym, cinema, 2 kitchens, wine cellar and tons more!
Weather was good most days, the roads for cycling were great and the local track and trail runs were fantastic.
Apart from sticking to the fairly rigid training plan, the food and wine also flowed nicely! It was a great week of training and indulgance. Bring on next year!!!
