CHASERS ANNIVERSARY - 8th NOVEMBER 2009
As usual the Chasers 4th Anniversary kicked off with the Leatherhead 10K race. 70+ Chasers made it to the race, most on the team coach, bit OTT? Maybe but we deserve it :-).. Aiming for our forth team win in the event but mainly just to have fun and enjoy the race I think we did pretty well. Weather was good for this time of year and I think most enjoyed the challenging but great course.
Results pretty much speak for themselves, fairly embarrassingly we were actually 1st, 2nd and 3rd team home :-)
Some great times and positions as the Chasers had first and second place finishes overall and also first and second in the ladies competition. Abe also brought home the beans in the vet category! Clean sweep? About as close as you could get!
It wasn't really about results, take a look at the video below, it was Chasers everywhere. Great fun to be part of such a big event for us. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.
Evening:
Moving to a bigger venue this year as we seek to dominate Clapham, Chasers took over Babel pub for Sunday evening. Babel were great hosts, food was a plenty and drinks flowed pretty well. Hmmm not much change there then. Few sore heads in the morning but I think most had predicted the carnage and taken the Monday off. Nice.
Aside from the drunken festivities, awards were handed out for this years cream of the crop. Congratulations to the winners, I hope you liked your engraved tankards. (Oh no, more proof of our bad habits!) Winners this year were:

- Chaser of the Year: Stephen Vey
- Lifetime Honorable Member: Abraham Jalloh
