Up The Junction Aquathlon - Detailed Race Information
Note: Race details will be sent out by email one week prior to the event unless notified. In addition any last minute updates or announcements will be posted on the event information page www.claphamchasers.co.uk/upthejunction.
Registration:
To enter please register online by 25 April 2010. On Race Day please arrive at the
registration desk in the sports hall at Emmanuel School, this will be open from 7am. You will be given your
race number here and will have your arm/leg marked with your race number for time keeping. If you are a Brisith Triathlon Federation member please present your BTF race card at the registration desk for your refund of £2. We strongly recommend you arrive 1 hour before your start time to ensure you are well prepared and to hear a race briefing. Race briefings will be taking place throughout the morning.
Baggage:
Should you wish to leave bags an area will be made available next to the registration desk, these will be labelled and watched but are left at your own risk.
Course Format
Race starts will be staggered to ensure the pool does not get congested. Swim times will start between 8.30am and 10:30am depending on your estimated 400m time, please ensure this is accurate on your race registration so you are swimming with people of a similar ability. The slower swimmers will start first to ensure all competitors finish around the same time.
Marshals:
The route will be well marshalled, you must listen to marshals instructions while racing. Please bear in mind pedestrians have right of way around the common.
Refreshments:
Gatorade and water will be provided before and after the race. Due to the short length of the course we will not be providing refreshments to competitors during the race, please bring your own fluids with you if you feel you may need them.
Transport:
Please note there is no parking in the school however there is free parking
in adjacent streets. Alternatively the common and school are short walk from both Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Common stations, they are also served by
plenty of bus routes which stop nearby.
Facilities:
Toilets and changing facilities will be available on site.
Body Logic:
Body Logic http://www.body-logic.co.uk will be on hand througout the day to offer advice and/or brief assessments of any niggles or ongoing injuries you may have.
Results and Prizes:
All results will be available shortly after the last finisher completes the course. Prizes will be awarded for 1st Male and 1st Female. All finishers will receive a goody bag.

Third party insurance liability is covered by Clapham Chasers affiliation to UK Athletics as well as our associated with the British Triathlon Federation.
You should abide by the rules of the British Triathlon Federation (BTF) and be in good health, you compete at your own risk. The organisers may hold personal data from your entry for the purposes of race administation. In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 this information will be available on request.
