Thanks everyone for signing up. We'll be organising group runs most weeks on the build up to the spring marathons.
How it works:
- We've split the runners into 5 groups according to ability / target marathon times
- You can change group if you would like
- Each group has two leaders who will email each week the plan for the weekend
- The groups will do similar routes but it may vary
- We try and have a set distance and then an option to go further
- We'll have 3 key routes we do regularly so there is change but you can also benchmark your improvement
- We'll also aim to do races together in 2012 (Chasers 20 mile race on March 4th, Cranleigh 15/21 on March 25th and Paddock Wood Half Marathon on April 1st)
- We'll also have socials and advice sessions

Running Virgin London Marathon, Vienna, Rotterdam, Paris, Brighton, Bungay??.... or indeed any spring marathon then these are the weekend training sessions for you!!
Each year on the build up to the April marathons we get this group set up with the aim to get regular weekend run's going to support your marathon training programmes and to team you up with people around your ability, gain training partners and offer support for longer distance training and racing. It seems to have worked really well for the last two years.

Groups are in target marathon time: Sub 3, 3'00 to 3'20, 3'20 to 3'40, 3'40 to 4'00 and 4'00+
Where we meet:
As it's the weekend and we can turn up ready to run we are meeting by the toilets in Battersea park, see red arrow below.
Some of the Routes:
1. Royal Parks 11.5 mile + extra laps of Battersea park as per your schedule.
2. Richmond Park - Standard 7 mile loop round the park (we'll have options for laps / or half laps)
3. Tow Path Route + extra laps of Battersea park as per your schedule. Can be shortened to Hammersmith Bridge or extended to many bridges past Barnes Bridge (used in this map).
