The Chasers 3rd track fun day is scheduled for the 2nd July 2011. It is going to be another great day in the sun where we have the entire facility to ourselves. This includes: Athletics track, inner field, PA, changing facilities and all track & field equipment. All food will be provided but you will have to supply your own alcohol.
To help make the day run smoothly we are asking members register for the day and indicate which events they would like to participate in. You will be sent the day’s timetable with a list of your event times. Most events are limited so there will be a first come first served bases.
The key word of the event is ‘FUN’! Although we will run some semi competitive events, the day is being organised to allow members to have an enjoyable day out. We also hope that you also take this opportunity to bring along family members and friends (children are welcome and a fun event will be organised for them).
Cost:
To help cover our costs we are asking for a £5 entry fee for adults and free for children on the day.
Directions:
The closest station to the arena is Battersea Park station (coming from either Clapham Junction or Victoria). Alternatively Queenstown Road station is almost as close (coming from Waterloo). There are loads of buses from Clapham junction to Battersea Park (no 49, 319 to name a couple). Or it is approximately a 20min (1.5miles) walk from Clapham Junction Station.
Parking:
There is parking available in Battersea Park near the arena (subject to any events going on). The closest car park to the arena is located in Carriage Dr North coming off Queenstown Road.
The arena also has a number of bike racks located outside the venue. You will need to lock them up though.
Volunteers:
As always these events don’t by themselves. If you can lend a hand before or throughout the day that would be appreciated! Please let Graeme know if you can.
