Please check out the individual session pages for more information and please note that attendance at any session must be booked in advance.

  • Sunday Long Run: A morning run of between 1.5 and 2.5 hours, built around the spring and autumn marathon seasons  
  • Monday Club Run: A run of between 8km and 10km, with a tail runner and a variety of pace groups to cover a range of abilities.  The session takes no more than an hour. 
  • Tuesday Track: A great session to build up your speed and bring down those PBs
  • Wednesday Hills: Ideal for working on endurance and power, just as applicable to road racing as XC.  The sessions vary week to week, and include long gradual hills, as well as shorter sharper reps.  Love the hills and they love you back. 
  • Thursday TempoA session focused on building stamina and speed endurance with pace groups ranging from sub 6:15 min/mile to 8:30 min/mile+. For anyone worried by this, the sessions are structured so that groups bunch back together even when there are a range of paces being run. 
With the race calendar busy year round and events being common in Battersea Park, sessions can shift so please keep an eye on the Club's Facebook page changes.  This is also the best place to find other Chasers heading to an event in your diary and whether there is something else - a trip to the North Downs for some scenic trail running (and cake) anyone? 

Disciplines

To put all that training to good use we collectively participate in a wide range of running disciplines including:

  • Road Running: This is where we started and it continues to be the main focus for the majority of our runners. Outside of marathon season, we participate in the South of England Athletics Association Road Relays and the Surrey Road League
  • Cross Country: We love XC and there are few events on the calendar which attract bigger turnouts than these. The Chasers are known for their great team spirit and there's always plenty on display at these events 
  • Trail Running: We're one of the few running clubs in London with a dedicated and rapidly growing trail section. If you fancy leaving the big smoke behind and sampling some of the country's finest scenery with some great people then this is for you
