The Saturday Group Ride (SGR) is the club’s main weekly ride and our principal endurance training session.
Routes typically head out to the country lanes of Surrey and Kent, offering a mix of rolling hills and quieter roads.

We usually offer two route options:
Routes and meeting details are posted each week on the Members Facebook page (usually Thursday).
The second Saturday of each month is reserved for Intro Rides, where new riders can learn the group ride format before joining the main ride.
Before joining the Saturday Group Ride, all members are expected to:
| Pace Groups Riders are split into groups based on typical average speeds. This helps ensure everyone rides at a comfortable and sustainable pace. Speeds vary depending on the terrain, so we use different estimates for hillier Surrey/Kent routes and flatter Windsor routes.
If you're unsure which group to join, speak to a ride leader during your Intro Ride. All groups typically ride the same route, allowing riders to drop back to a slower group if needed. If you are unable to maintain the pace of the slowest group, you may need to continue the ride independently or return via the nearest train station. |
