We've collected the races the club will be targeting this summer into categories so you guys know what's most popular + not to be missed:
- Key club races - these get big Chasers turnout (think 60+ of us), usually with some kind of a team-element to scoring but always with a social afterwards!
- Secondary Races - local races packed with club runners appropriate for a range of abilities, typically around 10-20 Chasers taking part. Although we don't target them, they provide an opportunity for good racing + PBs!
- Everything else! Everything not mentioned in the first two categories but you might be keen on, please post on FB or WhatsApp and get others involved! Track/trail/ultra/road/novelty - all posts welcome!
Key club races
We have 5 key race dates for the calendar - not to be missed:
- Wimbledon Trail Series held on May 7, 4 June and 2nd July. Fun 8k races held on Wednesday evenings at scenic Wimbledon Common. Last year we won the Toast Rack Trophy for the first time in 10 years and are keep to retain it! For more details, see Here!
- Sri Chinmoy Mile Relays held on 29th July 2025 sees teams of 3 tackle the mile round Battersea Park. Great club turnout every year, details are TBD but save the date!
- The Clapham Cha5e held on 5th August 2025 is a new event to the calendar, with a 5k race round Battersea Park providing a focal point for summer club sessions. For more details see Here!
Secondary Races
Some great events suitable for PB attempts and/or fun times:
- Sri Chinmoy 5k series - The Clapham Cha5e will see lots of Chasers down for the August 5th race, but other 5k races are available 10 June, 17 June, 15 July. Always brings a high quality and deep field, entries Here only £7.85!
- Ranelagh HM - May 11 - flat + fast HM round the Richmond/Teddington area - Entries Here only £36!
- Dorking 10 - 1st June - scenic 10 miler on rolling country lanes out in Dorking - Entries Here only £24!
- Ranelagh 10k - June 22 - flat + fast 10k round Richmond/Ham riverside (apparently the 3rd best 10k according to the website) Entries Here only £24!
- Elmore 7 (Eddie's personal favourite) - July 12 - Absolute cracker of a race round country lanes out in Chipstead - Entries not yet open Here, but will include free entry to the Chipstead Village Fair
- Epping Fell Race - 20 June - the only category A Fell Race inside the M25, need we say more! Entries Here only a fiver!!
